Yvonne "Bonnie" Mayet Champagne, 82, a native and lifelong resident of Raceland passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 16th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Herbert P. Champagne and brother, Milton Mayet. Although she hasd no children of her own, she was a loving mother, grandmother, nanny and aunt to her many nieces and nephews who will miss her so very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan "Sam" P. Adams; parents, Agenant and Lillian Rogers Mayet; brothers, Roy and Roland Mayet; and sister, Elta Slade.
