Willie Mae " Will" Melancon

Willie Mae “Mrs. Will” Melancon, 86, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021.

A visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 9:00 am until service time. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am in the funeral parlor with procession following to her burial at Cheramie Cemetery.

Mrs. Willie Mae is survived by her daughters, Robin Melancon Callais (Andrew Jr.) and Margie Melancon; daughter-in-law, Lauri Doucet; grandchildren, Andre Sr. (Amanda), Andrew III (Jennifer), Kelli, Kylee (Joshua), Casey (Brett), Dennis Jr., Theresa (Ross), and Courtney (Dwight); great grandchildren, Andre Jr., Gaige, Ma’kayla, Brooklyn, Kateland, Marcella, Mackenzie, Blakelyn, Redding, Evan, Aiden, Kenna, and Hunter; and sisters, Pearly Cheramie, Mary Delgrandile, and Sally Deroche.

Mrs. Melancon was preceded in death by her husband; Stanley “White” Melancon; son, Dennis “Big Red” Doucet, Sr.; parents, Freddie and Esperie T. Cheramie; brothers, Stanley Cheramie, Antoine Cheramie, and Larry Cheramie; and sister, Lorraine Baldo.
