Walter Joseph Hebert

Walter J. Hebert, 77, a native and resident of Raceland passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Saturday, May 22nd from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Walter is survived by hie wife, Priscilla Danos Hebert; sons, Tad Hebert (Nicole) and Troy Hebert (Tina); daughters, Tricia H. Thibodeaux (Ray) and Tamyra H. LeCompte (Dean); brother, Allen Hebert; grandchildren, Trever Hebert, Sarah Thibodeaux, Hope Thibodeaux and Madison LeCompte; step-grandchildren, Dakota Navarre, Denver Navarre, Daffney Brunet, Sandy Lodrigue, Tasha McCarthy, Travis LeCompte and Tessa LeCompte; 10 great-grandchildren.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lorraine Hebert; grandchild, Rance Thibodeaux; brother, Oliver Hebert; sister, Jeanne “Sundae” Hebert; daughter-in-law, Bea Hebert.

Walter served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, a member of the American Legion and The Raceland Lions Club.
