Vinis Luma Gisclair, Sr. 84, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano passed away on Monday June 5, 2017. Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with burial in Cheramie Cemetery. Vinis is survived by his wife Dorothy "Dot" Gisclairl; sons, Tate(Janelle) and Marty(Claudette) Gisclair; step-children, Wayne(Myra) St.Pierre, Anoinette Bruce, Audrey St.Pierre, Joseph St.Pierre, Lillian(Jody) Chaisson, Stephanie(Reese) Angeron; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; and 28 step-great-greatgrandchildren; sisters, Lovenia Eymard, Lorina Griffin and Rita Cheramie; sister-in-law, Rose Gisclair.
