Vilma Pitre

Vilma Fuselier Pitre, 84, a native of Buras, LA and resident of Galliano, LA passed away February 3, 2015. Visitation will take place on February 9, 2015 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow from 1:00 pm till service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 3:00 pm with burial following in Hebert Cemetery.
Mrs. Pitre is survived by her daughter Nadine Pitre Cheramie, son Michael L. Pitre, grandchildren Yon M. Cheramie and Adrienne M. Cheramie, great grandchildren Tommy Hickok Jr. and Damien Provost, brother William J. Fuselier Jr and sister Deloris "Tiny" Fuselier Savoie, and friend of the family Danny Arceneaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband Landry G. Pitre, parents William J. Fuselier Sr. and Nettie Tullier Fuselier and brother Jules E. Fuselier and father of her grandchildren Farrel T. Cheramie.
Mrs Vilma was a beautician and hairdresser for many years, who enjoyed going to the camp with her family and crocheting for her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
