Velma Loupe Zeringue, 87, a native of Lockport and resident of Raceland passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Nativity Church on Wednesday, December 12th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Velma is survived by her husband, Olezime “O.J.” Zeringue; sons, Brian (Dania) Zeringue and Barry Zeringue; daughters, Christine (Ray) LeBlanc and Madonna (Troy) McClennen; twin sister, Thelma Loupe Eschette; grandchildren, John (Jaime) LeBlanc, Benjamin (Laura) LeBlanc, Matthew (Ashley) LeBlanc; Brandy (Michael) Hurst; Brittany (Jeremy) Fleming, Nicole Zeringue, Bart (Linsey) Zeringue, Derek Plaisance, Cody (Ariel) Plaisance, Meranda McClennen, Tanner McClennen; Connie (Cass) Grant and 20 great-grandchildren
Mrs. Velma was preceded in death by her parents, Lezin and Anita Chiasson Loupe; daughter, Sonia Zeringue Aucoin; siblings, Maurice Loupe, Sr., Herman Loupe, Sr., Harris Loupe, Sr., Edwis Loupe, Alice Ledet, Aline Matherne and Ella Mae Zeringue;
