Tyrone Duet Sr.

Tyrone “Toe Toe” Paul Duet, Sr., 77, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano passed away on January 25, 2020.

A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 10:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon with burial following in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Tyrone is survived by his wife of 53 years Wilma “Ma Ma” G. Duet, son; Tyrone Duet Jr., brother; Larry Duet Sr., and sisters; Mary Duet Louviere, Mary Jane Duet Falgout, Anna May Duet Callais, Eula May Duet Pitre, Thelma Duet Doucet, Janelle Duet Tate, and Betty Duet Buisson.

Mr. Duet was preceded in death by his parents; Clovis Duet, Sr. and Evela P. Duet, brothers; Clovis Duet Jr., George Duet, Joseph Duet, and Alcide Duet, and sister Victoria Duet.

“Toe Toe” was a simple, proud man and enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved duck hunting, trawling, going to the camp and living off the land. He was a devoted husband, father, and father like figure to many people. He loved sports watching, especially the Saints, LSU, and Atlanta Braves games. He may be gone and will be sadly missed by many; but the times he shared with each of us and everyone he met will be cherished and last us a lifetime.
