Sidney Roddy, Sr., a native of Houma and resident of Raceland, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, age 72.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland on Wednesday, February 6th from 5 pm until 9pm and will resume on Thursday, from 9 am until funeral time. Religious services will be held in the parlor at 11 am. Graveside services will follow in St. Francis II Cemetery, in Houma.
Sidney is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nettie Trahan Roddy; children, Sidney Roddy Jr. (Rhonda), Kevin Roddy (Melissa), Roxanne Roddy; granddaughter, Brianna Roddy; brother, Craig Roddy Sr. and sister, Jean Stephens.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Esther Roddy Sr.; brothers, Floyd Roddy Jr., David Roddy and granddaughter, Brelynn Roddy.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
