Sherry R. Cheramie, 70, a native and resident of Galliano, LA passed away Friday June 21, 2013. Visitation will take place on Wednesday June 26, 2013 from 10:00 am till funeral time at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow with Funeral Mass beginning at 12 noon and burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery in Galliano
She is survived by her son Scotty Cheramie, granddaughter Morgan Cheramie, sister Neva Leonard, and half-sister Mrs. Hubert Lafont.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steven Joseph Cheramie, her parents Leneas Rousse and Edna Lombas Rousse, and brother Irwin Rousse.
Mrs. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and going to casino's and was an active member of numerous veterans' organizations in honor of her husband.
