Shannon Gregory Doucet

Shannon Gregory Doucet, Sr., 72, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020.

A visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with his burial following in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Shannon is survived by his wife of 53 years; Linda Doucet, children; Shannon Doucet, Jr. (Gena), Jordy Doucet (Janice), and Lesley Rios (Adrian), grandchildren; Chelsey Foret, Jordan Bourgeois, Olivia Doucet, Justin Doucet, Luke Doucet, Alec Rios, Drew Rios, Ana Doucet, Rylie Rios, Reese Rios, and Jolie Doucet, great grandchildren; Mylie Foret, Chason Foret, and Holden Foret, and siblings; Pat Doucet, Marilyn Stanley (Russel), and Rodney Doucet (Jan).

Mr. Doucet was preceded in death by his parents; Wesley Doucet and Elda Collins.

Mr. Doucet loved to hunt, fish, eat wild game, work with his cattle, dance, watch sports, and gather with friends. Mr. Shannon was well known for his smile, joking personality,
