Scott James Crochet, 49, a native and resident of Galliano, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Cantrelle Crochet; parents, Elmore "E.J." Crochet Jr. and Evelina Blanchard Crochet; godchild, Kristy Lynn Crochet; step-grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Bailey, and Trey Cantrelle; brother, Marty Crochet and wife, Alexis Vizier Crochet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, Tracy Cantrelle; godchild, Nicholas Pitre; and sister, Carla Ann Crochet.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman and loved going to the camp.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
