Royal J. "Roy" Benoit, 95, a native and resident of Chackbay passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Floyd A. Benoit; daughter, Judy B. Guidry; sister, Dotsy B. Rodrigue; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elise R. Benoit; parents, Ferdinand and Bridget Borne Benoit; sister, Hazel B. Morvant.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
