Ronald "Pop" Helmer Sr.
June 24, 1939 — July 30, 2018
Ronald “Pop” Helmer, Sr., 79 a native of Lafitte, La. and a resident of Larose, La. passed away with his loving family at his side.
Visitation will be on Friday August 3, 2018 at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until funeral time A Memorial Service will begin at 1:30 pm.
Ronald is survived by his children; Ronald, Jr. and Ryan (Brandi) Helmer, Melissa (David) LeBlanc, Sr., Melinda Galjour, and Marylynn Helmer. Grandchildren: Nicholas; Corey; Max; Charlie; Olivia; Lauren; Coda and Jake Helmer, Ashley (Travis) Gisclair, David (Jessica) LeBlanc; Robin; Christopher (Angelle) and Abbi Galjour.
Great-Grandchildren; Destin; Avery Gisclair, Kennedy and Cal Vizier; Bennett and June Galjour.
Ronald is preceded by his wife; MaryAnn Helmer, parents; Thomas “Tom” and Beatrice Babin Helmer, brother; Kenneth; Tom, Jr., and Donald Helmer, sister; Linda Dardar, and son-in-law, Chris Galjour.
