Roland "Roach" Cheramie, 77, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Roland A. Cheramie, Raleigh A. Cheramie, Reed A. Cheramie; daughter, Rhonda C. Billiot; brother, Edward "Nue" Cheramie; sister, Bernice C. Griffin; 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin "Topp" Cheramie; mother, Carrie Lathrop Cheramie; sister, Mildred C. Doucet.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
