Robert "Bobby" Pregeant

    With somber hearts, we announce the passing of Robert “Bobby” Pregeant, an entrepreneur and beloved friend to many, who departed this life on March 6, 2025. He will be remembered for his silly jokes, his warm demeanor, and, perhaps most of all, his generous spirit. Bobby never met a stranger and had a habit of making new friends everywhere he went. From restaurants to doctors’ offices, he always wanted to make people laugh and feel comfortable around him. He had a great love for his family and friends, and he believed strongly in letting them know it. He took pride in his family business, and he especially loved to celebrate the achievements of his son, grandsons and nephews. He was a native of Raceland, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana (formerly Grand Isle, Louisiana and Cut Off, Louisiana).

    Bobby is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Jeanette Bunten Pregeant; his daughters, Lisa Pregeant Lafont and Ashley Pregeant (Vincent); grandchildren, Mark Pregeant II (Amber), Bianca Lafont Ledet (Jordan), Alexis Pregeant (Eric), and Mason Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Dylan Pregeant, Vayda Pregeant, Bailey Ledet, Blakely Cheramie, Lyam Pregeant, Kenna Ledet, and Hadley Ledet; sister, Betty Pregeant; and much-loved nieces and nephews.

    Bobby is preceded in death by: his sons, Mark Pregeant, Sr. and Chad Michael Pregeant; great-grandson, Kody Pregeant; parents Clyde Pregeant, Sr. and Ouida Knight Pregeant; and brothers Clyde Pregeant, Jr. (Nadine) and Richard “Dickie” Pregeant. 

   In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at http://www.stjude.org in his honor.

    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, Louisiana from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM, over which Father Mark Toups will preside with our thanks.
