Richard "Rick" Lawrence Gebhardt Jr passed away on May 15th 2019 at the age of 74. He is survived by his cherished children Deanna Hollander (Danny) and Steve Gebhardt (Julie), three grandchildren whom he adored Emily Hollander Schroder (John Michael), Daniel Hollander and Gabe Frosch Gebhardt, his great grandson Michael, his siblings Brenda, Frank, Norman, Curtis and Tamey, numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 50 years Paulette, whom he is now reunited with; his mother Nell Parker Naro, siblings Gilbert and Pam, his stepfather Tom Naro and father Richard Gebhardt. Rick was born in New Orleans but lived in and traveled to many places. He graduated from Gonzales High School and treasured to his last day his high school friends who were family to him. Rick served 3 years in the United States Army. He was a successful salesman with Mack Truck, an entrepreneur and businessman. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved seafood boils of any kind, telling stories and writing, crossword puzzles, playing and watching golf, boxing, music and dancing. He will be fiercely missed and always remembered. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville on Saturday, May 25th 12pm; a Celebration of Life reception will follow at 103 Hawthorn Pl, Mandeville LA
