Richard J."Jay" Doucet, Sr., 78, a native of Galliano and resident of Larose passed away on Thursday January 10, 2013.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Nevitte Pitre Doucet; sons, Glenn Doucet and wife Eva, Richard Doucet, Jr. and wife Robin, Patrick Doucet and wife Nesie, Derek Doucet and wife Samantha; daughters, Rachel D. Bourg, Phyllis D. Foret and companion Andy Boyke; sisters, Nora Guidry, Janice Doucet; grandchildren, Pam King, Justin Doucet, Leslie Bourg, Bryce Bourg, Bink Foret, Michelle LeBlanc, Kacie Doucet, Meghan Doucet, Richard Tyler Doucet, Lindsey Doucet, Latesha Badeaux, Donovan Doucet; great-grandchildren, Jacob Northern, A.J. Ruthledge, Brennan Bourg, Bryant Bourg, Emily Bourg, Logan Bourg, Lauren Bourg, Troy Pitre, Isbella Foret, Paul Foret, Peyton Loupe, Bella Badeaux, Izra Badeaux, T-Don Doucet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Octave and Letitia Guidry Doucet; brother, Norman Doucet; sister, Sally Barrios; son-in-laws, Leslie Bourg, Sr., Brian Foret.
