Norman J. Guidry

Norman J. Guidry, age 71, a native and resident of Cut Off, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 28, 2021.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home, 15510 W. Main St., Cut Off, LA on Saturday, March 6th from 8:30 until 10:30 am. A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 am.
Norman is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Susan Doran Guidry; sons, Michael Medus (Kristina), Hunter Guidry (Chantee’), grandchildren, Morgan Erin Medus (fiancé Tyler Williams), Jessica Lynn Medus, and a great grandchild soon to join the family; brothers, Norris Guidry (Mary), Wilbert Guidry (Gail), and Michael Guidry (Kim).
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Gladys Adams Guidry and a daughter, Erin Ann Guidry.
He retired from the Lafourche Parish School System with 34 years of service as a teacher, administrative assistant, assistant principal, and federal programs coordinator.
Norman was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and cherished the love of his family and many friends as his greatest possession.
