Nita Martin Gisclair

Nita M. Gisclair, 93 a native and resident of Galliano, La. passed away on January 25, 2021.
Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2021 from 7:30am until 10:30am at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the Church Cemetery.
Nita is survived by her children; Jerry “Truck” Gisclair (Linda), Ray Gisclair, Janell Williams (Lee Boudreaux), and Angie Gisclair-Rosswurm (Ron), grandchildren; Andrea Galjour (Richie), Kristy Cheramie (Hugh), Keith J. Randazzo (Talia) and Amy Gisclair (Jamie), 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgrandchild.
Nita was preceded in death by her husband Layman Joseph Gisclair, parents; Ecton and Emily Guidry Martin, granddaughter, Gretchen Lerille; son-in-law, Jimmie “Jimbo” Williams, brother; Victor J. Martin, sisters; Viola Guidry and Mathilde Curole.
Nita was a retired school teacher of 29 years, LRTA Member, Volunteered at the Catholic Community Center.
Nita enjoyed dancing, camping, traveling, crocheting and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
