Neddie Bourgeois Blanchard, 86 a native and resident of Raceland, La. went to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday December 24, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Not covid related.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 30, 2020 at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church at 11:00am.
Neddie is survived by her children; Shane E. Blanchard, Orland L. (Mary) Blanchard, Keith E. Blanchard, Eric J. Blanchard, Adrian J. Blanchard, Robyn B. (Randy) White, Leslie B. (Randy) Robichaux and Tana B. (Barry) Foret, grandchildren; Kellie, Lillian, Reuben, Jude, Hope, Crystal, Summer, Amber, Joshua, and Jordan, 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Neddie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Deacon Edward J. Blanchard, parents; Louis Paul and Agnes Foret Bourgeois, brothers; Cullen Bourgeois, Gillis “Chick” Bourgeois, and Huey Bourgeois, sisters; Camelia B. LaCour and Leafy B. Schifani, grandchild; Zachary Foret, and a great-grandchild, Mitchell Blanchard.
Neddie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, and the Ladies Altar Society.
She loved to paint and enjoyed traveling but her passion was her family. She was a Parishioner of St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church, a devout Catholic, a prayer warrior, and a Eucharistic Minister.
