Narcisse “Jr.” Mayet, Jr., 84, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
A visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. Procession will follow to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for his 1:00 pm Funeral Mass with burial following in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Narcisse is survived by his wife of 61 years, Melva B. Mayet; daughters; Karla M. Breaux, Annette, M. Kimball (Carey), Melanie M. Lagarde (Thomas), and Dodie M. Bruce; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Mayet, and sister, Helen Landrum.
Mr. Mayet was preceded in death by his parents, Narcisse Sr. and Bernadette P. Mayet, sister, Betty M. Cheramie; brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Cheramie; and son-in-laws, Terrence Callais, Jr. and Howard Breaux.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
