Minta C. Collins, 92, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, passed away April 15, 2013. Visitation will take place on April 17, 2013 from 9:00 am till funeral time at Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Golden Meadow with Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 am and burial following in the Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her son Peter R. Collins and wife Cheryl, daughters Simone Dupierre, Veronica Gisclair and husband C.J., Rosanna C. Aucoin, Celena Rousse and husband Ted and Lilly Riera and husband Ronald, brother Luke Cheramie, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Freddie J. Collins, parents Hugh and Lima Cheramie, son Larry Collins, and sisters Oralee Terrebonne and Ella Deramie.
