Mervin "Moie" Savoie, 77, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away December 22, 2013. Visitation will take place on December 28, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9:00 am till funeral time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in the Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters Bonnie Felarise and husband Marty, Vivian Callais and husband Raymond Callais Jr., step daughter s Arlene Callais and Leslie LeBlanc and husband Kevin, grandchildren Sadie Ledet, Tessy Danos, Victoria Callais, Raychelle Callais, Raymond Callais III, step grandchildren Andrea Cedotal, Jennifer Cedotal, Michael Cedotal Sr., William Mosley III, Cody Callais, Patricia LeBouef, great grandchildren Andee Danos, Logan Ledet, Paisley Ledet, Amelia Danos, Brooks Danos, Harley Hotard, Jaime Hotard, Michael Cedotal Jr, Isabelle Callais, Alexis Callais, Elena LeBouef, Dusty LeBouef Jr., brothers Raleigh, Norris, Dickie and Jimmie Savoie, sister Loretta Barrios and godchildren Billy Joe Ledet and Susan Landry.
He is preceded by his wife Bessie C. Savoie, parents Blaise Savoie and Vivian LeBouef Savoie, step son Clivington Callais Jr, brother Chester Savoie Sr.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Wendy Savoie Dufrene. Mr. Savoie was a trawler and boat captain for 30 years who enjoyed going to his camp and was a lifelong resident of Lafourche Parish that loved to plant citrus trees and a. garden.
