Merna Rivet Blanchard, 71, a native of Lockport and a resident of Raceland, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Eric J. Blanchard; daughters, Danna Lynn Z. Breaux and husband, Hilton J. Breaux Jr., Denine Z. Degruise, and Deyon Z. Bush and husband, Clyde H. Bush; grandchildren, Andrew J. Breaux and wife, Jada, Kalin Zeringue, Justin Callais and Sarah Bush; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Callais and Lane Breaux; brothers, Henry A. Rivet and Landry J. Rivet; sisters, Kate R. Guillot and Barbara A. Rivet; and many friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry F. Rivet and Merna D. Rivet.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
