Melba C. Hebert, 100, a native and resident of Mathews passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hebert; sister, Adrine Lee; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hebert; parents, Robert and Helena Chauvin; son, Bobby Hebert; sisters, Elsie Bourg, Enole Mire, Rena Matherne, Velma McNutt, infant sister; brother, infant brother; grandson, James Pellegrin.
She was an Honorary Member of St. Hilary's CCW and a quilter at the V.H. Boudreaux Senior Citizen Center.
She loved being with family and friends.
