Mary-Jane Chauvin, 79, a native and resident of Raceland, LA passed away May 25, 2014. Visitation will take place on Wednesday May 28th at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Raceland from 9:00 am till service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Chauvin is survived by her children Joanne Tastet, Lucy Chiasson, Molly Boudreaux, and Raphael Chauvin Jr., 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother James Fanguy Jr., twin sister Genevieve Cologne, and sister Martha Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Raphael "Ralph" Chauvin Sr., parents James Fanguy Sr. and Sadie P. Fanguy, 1 great-grandchild, and sister Jeanette Cologne.
