Mary Ann Ford Vanacor, 77, a native of Raceland and resident of Des Allemands passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.

Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Mathews on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at St. Gertrude Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Melvin T. Vanacor, Jr. (Cathy), Earl Vanacor; daughters, Karen V. Duran (Oscar), Elizabeth Vanacor (Sheila Melerine), Melissa V. Berteau (Dane); brothers, Bill Ford, Richard Ford; sisters, Myrtle Tastet, Catherine Ford, Marion Blanchard; grandchildren, Eddie Duran, Derrick Duran, Karmen Duran, Melvin Vanacor, III, James Vanacor, Hannah Vanacor, Winter Vanacor, Megan Thompson, Kelssie Thompson, Jade Berteau; 17 Great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin T. Vanacor, Sr.; parents, William, Sr. and Lydia B. Ford; brothers, Douglas Ford, Paul Ford, Earl Ford, Jimmy Ford, William Ford, Patrick Ford; sisters, Ada Ford, Shirley Ford; granddaughter, Jennifer Vanacor.
