Mary Rivet Degeyter, 67, a native and resident of Cut Off died on Wednesday August 22, 2012.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday from 10am until funeral time. A mass will be held at the church at 12pm with burial at Holy Savior Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul Degeyter, Sr.; son, Rory Degeyter and wife Shawn; step-son, Paul Degeyter, Jr.; step-daughter, Honorena "Mae" Degeyter; brothers, Alton Rivet, C.J. Rivet; sisters, Andy Verdin, Clarice Howard; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcide and Nita Orgeron Rivet; infant daughter; step-son, Gil Degeyter; brothers, Ethelen "T-Bay" Rivet, Raymond Rivet; great-grandson, Cameron Baker.
She was a DVA Lifetime Member and past Commander for 15 years, Member of St. Joseph Alter Society for 20 years.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
