Marlin D. Dufrene, 73, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Luling passed away on Thursday February 27, 2014.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel in Mathews on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. with a private burial at a later date.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Betty Dufrene; sons, Timothy Dufrene, David Berry, Dennis Berry and wife Wanda; daughters, Lori Olin and husband Mark, Carla Dufrene and husband Thuy Benson, Patti Dufrene and husband Freddy Fricke, Angela McClure and husband Larry, Vicki Hatfield and husband Dan; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tracy and Clara Dufrene.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
