Margie Verdon Savoie, 89, a native and resident of Grand Isle passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Jerome (Charlene) Savoie, Marty (Margaret) Savoie and Gilbert Savoie; daughter, Iris (Chad) Savoie Cheramie; grandchildren, Martine (Eric) Savoie Danos, Rachelle Savoie, Jeanne’ Savoie, Matthew Cheramie and Luke Cheramie; great-grandchildren, Aurora Danos, Violet Danos, Carson Guidry, Elliott Savoie and Emma Alexie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Layman A. Savoie; parents, Eugene, Sr. and Josephine Verdon; brother, Eugene Verdon, Jr.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
