Mabel Punch LeBlanc, 89, a native and resident of Larose, joined our Lord Jesus Christ on Aug 14, 2021, surrounded by her 3 loving daughters. She was born March 25, 1932.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose from 10:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Elaine Sevin (Douglas), Sandra Griffin (Danny, Sr.) and Pauline Collins (Wade); grandchildren, Kevin Sevin (Heather), Kara Sevin, Celima Louviere (Matt), Danny Griffin, Jr. (Scarlet), Logan Collins (finance Jenna Brunet)and Connor Collins; great-grandchildren, Tyler Dufrene (companion Kasey), Brady Dufrene, Kaleb Louviere (Morgan), Kaitlyn Louviere, Adam Sevin, Will Sevin, Aleeza Griffin and Leland Griffin; great-great-grandchildren, Troy Louviere, Daisy Louviere, Lilly Joe Louviere (twins on the way); only living sister out of 12 siblings, Wildred Ougel.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Elvin J. LeBlanc; parents, Sylvere and Ariana Punch; brothers, Orice, Nolise, Antoine, Alvin and Raymond; sisters, Eleanor Richardel, Leona Delaune, Leila Allemand, Eva Guidry, Audrey Chabert and Rowena Dominque.
She was a homemaker, and avid volunteer in her community, past president and member of the V.F.W. post 8538 Ladies Aux., member of Galliano American Legion Aux., member of Our Lady of the Rosary church Ladies Alter Society, Vol at the Veteran’s Hospital in N.O. and at the Larose Nursing Home monthly for over 30 years, volunteered for many area festivals, VFW weekly bingo, founding member of the Krewe of Versailles, and founding member of the Larose Civic Center, member of the Crusin Cajuns Camper Club.
