Lucille H. Hernandez, 94, a native of Plattenville and resident of Raceland, died at 7:05 p.m. on Friday January 25, 2013.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Napoleonville on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral services will be observed at 10:30 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Virgie H. LeBlanc and husband Leonce, Nita H. Zeringue and husband Mike; grandchildren, Kim Dandry, Zachary LeBlanc, Jamie LeBlanc, Garrett Zeringue, Stacey Gabb; great-grandchildren, Nicole Authement, Christopher Dandry, Tara Loeske, Taylor Zeringue, Brooke Brackett, Shawn Barone, Shayla Gabb, Alicia Gabb; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O'Neil J. Hernandez; father, Amadeo J. Himel; mother, Effie Crochet Himel; brothers, Henry Himel, Oscar Himel, Harry Himel, Everett Himel; sisters, Emily Sansoni, Viola Allen; great-granddaughter, Leah Gabb.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
