Louis "Nu" J. Cheramie Jr.

Louis “Nu” J. Cheramie, Jr., 73, a native and resident of Larose passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Community Bible Church in Cut Off from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 at with procession following to Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Mr. Louis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice “Faye” Cheramie; children, Melisa Adams (John), Mark Cheramie (Marie), Vicki Billiot, Kim Fangue (Davy) and Bryan Cheramie (Katrina); grandchildren, Trent Rupert (Heidi), Sean Adams, Dudley Richoux III, Jasmine Billiot, Ashley Parker, Evan Cheramie, Angelle Cheramie, Jacob Fangue, Janey Cheramie, and Logan Cheramie; great grandchildren, Ali, Emma, Damion, Carter, Parker, Trey, Makiah, and Gennessah; brother, Herman Cheramie; and sisters, Della Mae Danos, Della Pitre, Deloras Champagne, Julia Matherne, and Dorothy Legendre.
Mr. Cheramie was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Sr. and Verdie Cheramie; brothers, Herbert and Tillman Cheramie; and sister, Gladys Guidry.
Nu was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and family man who had a humorous personality and never met a stranger. He enjoyed wood working, hunting, fishing, cooking, spending time with his family always and boasted he could build anything better. Mr. Louis loved his Lord and Savior and his extended family from the MS hunting camp.
