Lorris P. "Day-Day" Crosby, 84, a native and resident of Larose, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Larose, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm Friday with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery, Lockport, LA.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Molly Breaux Crosby; son, Timothy Crosby (Bonnie); daughters, Suzette Crosby, Michelle C. Vegas (Ed); grandchildren, Emilee Vegas-Casey (Carleton); Allee Crosby, Christopher "Scooby" Collins and sister, Rosie C. Dufrene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aramise and Lizia Plaisance Crosby; and brothers, Ernest Crosby Sr. and Louis "Do Do" Crosby.
Crosby retired from Valentine Paper after 43 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and gardening. He was a man of few words and never met a stranger.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
