Lloyd Paul Toups, 78, a native of Westwego and resident of Cut off passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on November 14, 2020.
A visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off with a trucker procession following to his burial at Cheramie Cemetery.
Mr. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 59 years; Grace G. Toups, children; Antoinette Plaisance (Neil), Melissa “Missy” Toups, and Andre’ Toups (Misty), grandchildren; Nicholas (Alexi), Drake, and Leland Plaisance, Ross Vegas (Amy), Bryce Brien, Ryan (Kati), Jacob (Molly), and Alex Toups, great grandchildren; Nylah, Finley, Rhyse, Drewhona, and Dakota Plaisance, Madilyn Vegas, and Ross Toups, brother Tommy Toups, and sister Carolyn Bourgeois.
Mr. Toups was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert P. and Winnie M. Toups, brother Tommy Toups, and sister Betty Hebert.
Mr. Lloyd was a professional musician for many years and was inducted into the Westwego Music Hall of Fame. He was a successful business man that loved trucking and travelling, and was a member of Shriner’s Lodge #484. Above all he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
