Lena M. Pierce, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the age 92.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her 3 children, Royce J. Pierce, Rudy A. Pierce and wife Stephanie and Gloria P. Comeaux and husband Norris, 12 grandchildren and all of her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Lena is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Melancon and Hedwidge Theriot Melancon, brothers; Ivy, Willie, Lovelace, Ronald and Wilmer Melancon, sisters; Elma Bonvillian, Irene Martin and Corinne Sapia.
The family would like to express thanks to the staff at Ochsner St. Anne Hospital and Southern Care Hospice for their love and care given.
