Kate L. "Nanny Kate" Rousse, 43, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery. Funeral Home
She is survived by her brother, Philip Cheramie and wife Robin; sisters, Dianne Pitre, Phyllis Felarise and husband Kirt; sister-in-law, Sheryl Cheramie; godchildren, Chantel Lee, Colby Pitre, Cody Lee, Jeffrey Cheramie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Valforus "Val" Rousse; mother, Theresa Thibodaux Rousse; brother, Jeffrey Cheramie; sister, Rebecca Beene; brother-in-laws, Neil Pitre, Larry Beene.
Kate was a Bridge Tender in Lower Lafourche Parish for 15 years.
She loved getting together with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking especially Barbecuing.
