Joseph “Joe” Cheramie, 96, a native of Lockport and resident of Larose passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Joe is survived by his children, Ramona Kirby (Jimmy), David Cheramie (Christine), Rodney Cheramie (Debbie), Alice Lee and Andrew Cheramie (Virginia); sister, Melva Lawley; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Foret Cheramie; parents, Theophile and Louise Cheramie; son, Peter Cheramie; brothers, Robert Cheramie, Philip Cheramie, Loyman Cheramie and Edmon Cheramie; sister, Tilly Punch.
