Jerry J. Verdin, Sr., 68, a native of Point-Aux-Chene and resident of Cut Off passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 12 at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Monday at Christian Fellowship Church from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy R. Verdin; sons, Jason Verdin (Shanna), Joshua Verdin, Jerald Verdin (Christina); daughter, Janice Verdin; brothers, Do Verdin (Irene), Sidney "Gay" Verdin, Alton Verdin (Lou Ann), Perry Verdin (Debra); sisters, Marina Serigny, Yvonne Billiot, Vorina Roussell (Jarvis), Martha Dardar (Jimmy); 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Georgina Verdin; son, Jerry Verdin, Jr.; brothers, O'Neil Verdin, Jeffrey Verdin, Michael Verdin.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
