Jerry "Doo" Rogers, Sr

Jerry "Doo" J. Rogers Sr, 67, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away Oct. 24, 2015. Visitation will take place on Oct. 27, 2015 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church from 9:00 am till service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in the Church cemetery.

Mr. Jerry is survived by his wife of 29 years Sheila V. Rogers, mother Beatrice Rogers, children Jerry Rogers Jr., Stacey Lathrop, Tangy Rogers, Kristie Rogers, and Jessie Rogers, grandchildren Phillip Lathrop Jr., Kaleb Lathrop, Jerry Rogers III, Delilah Billiot, Gaige Rogers, and Lorelie Rogers, great grandchildren Jasecien Lathrop, Kyren Lathrop, Jaymalree Lathrop, Kenyikke Jackson, and Kennedi Lathrop, brothers Johnny Rogers and Larry Rogers, sister Tammy Rogers and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his first wife Charlene Diez, father Cleveland "Papoo, Sam" Rogers, sister Joyce Charpentier and an infant brother.

Mr. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and a hardworking man.
