J.C. Darda, 63, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Larose passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home on Monday, December 14th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 39 ½ years, Donna A. Darda; children, Torie L. Glynn (Jason), Shannon M. Darda (Anida), Jonathan L. Darda (Desiree), Jaime M. LeBlanc (John), Innerce J. Darda (Kimberly); sisters, Marguerite LeBouef, Mary Ledet, Angeline "Angie" Terrebonne, Rosaline "Rose" Fouts, Josephine "Josie" Bergeron, Rosa "Chicky" Hebert, Suzanna "Sue" Darda; grandchildren, Owen Callais, Luke Callais, Ava Glynn, Liam Glynn, Madeline Darda, Molly Darda, Maci Darda, Marijain Burns, Nathan Darda, Vivianne Darda, Jadie Clement, Jackson LeBlanc, Juliana LeBlanc; godchildren, Timmy Martin, Billy Bourg, Chase Ledet, Darrel Ledet, Kim Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Innerce S. and Ovelia Billiot Darda; brother, Narcisse Darda.
His hobbies were avid fisherman, hunting, boat carving and he loved to travel. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his amazing family.
