James " Jimmy" Cheramie

James "Mr. Jimmy" "Mr. Audrey" "Rock" Levy Cheramie, 74, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Samart Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 10:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon with burial following in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 48 years Audrey S. Cheramie; sons Rowdy wife Daphne, Shawn wife Holly, and Travis wife Nicki; grandchildren Shelby, Jaci, and Brody Cheramie, and Anna and Kain Galliano; great grandchild Luna Pitre, canine companion and baby Sugar, sisters Ellavie Angelette, Genevie Boudreaux, Julia Mayet, and Lucille Vegas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Levy and Nora B. Cheramie and sister Lauravie Danos.

A strong supporter of the Cut Off Youth Center, he loved being with people especially his grandchildren, helping those in need, and was a friend to everyone and enemy to none.
