James "Jimmy" Irvin Danos

James “Jimmy” Irvin Danos, 75 a native and resident of Raceland, LA. passed away on September 5, 2024 with his loving family near his side.

 Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at St. Hilary of Poitier’s Catholic Church from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial in the Resurrection Mausoleum.

 James is survived by his wife of 54 years; Jacqueline “Jackie” Foret Danos, sons; Jamie M. Danos and Jeffery M. Danos.

 James was preceded in death by his parents; Adam and Una Mae Melancon Danos, in-laws; Hudson H. and Madge B. Foret, and brother; Thomas Danos.

 James served in the United States Army National Guard, he was a member of the American Legion Post 349, Woodman of the World, and Knights of Columbus.

James was a very active parishioner at St. Hilary’s of Poitier’s he served as an Usher, Lector, Altar Server, and Eucharist Minister. 

 James was a retired systems analyst from Jefferson Parish.
