Ivy P. "Piston" Bruce, Sr., 83, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Ivy P. Bruce, Jr.; daughters, Vivian B. Duet, Gilda B. Badeaux; sister, Mable B. Guidry; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosebud Rogers Bruce; parents, Sidney and Arthanes Melancon Bruce; sons, Adam Bruce, Sr., Baby Boy Bruce; daughter, Mona Lisa Bruce; brothers, August Bruce, Sr., Hervin Bruce, Sr.; sister, Eula Bruce; great grandson, Christopher Broussard, Jr.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
