Irene Vizier Callais, 78, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass will be held at noon Thursday at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
She is survived by her sons, Ricky J. Callais and wife, Crystal, and Dennis A. Callais; daughters, Suzanne Callais Loudon and husband, Clifford, and Carolyn Callais Adams and husband, Patrick J.; brothers, Jamie and Johnny Vizier; sister, Gloria LaBiche; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lindy "Cuz" J. Callais; parents, Belonie Vizier and Henriette Guidry Vizier; brothers, Leroy and Adam Vizier; and sister, Kathleen Melancon.
He was Catholic.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
