Huey Collins

Huey P. Collins, 78, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano passed away Thursday June 19th 2014 at his home. Graveside services were held at 5:00 pm June 20th at Cheramie Cemetery.
Mr. Collins is survived by his wife Judy Charpentier Collins, sons Nicky J. Collins and wife Lou, Timmy J. Collins and wife Melinda, daughters Pam Collins, Rachel Klopp and husband John, grandchildren Jeremy Collins and wife Melissa, Cody Collins and wife Corine, Jennifer Walker and husband James, Rob Collins and wife Sugar, Grace Courtney, Jake Klopp, Josh Klopp, Kaylie Klopp, great-grandchildren Cate Collins, Jackson Walker and Quinn Collins, and sisters Virgis Cheramie, Melva Collins, and Dorita Camardelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents Nat Collins Sr. and Augustine Cheramie Collins, brother Nat Collins Jr., and sister Juanita Polkey.
Mr. Huey was the retired owner of Golden Meadow Oil Company, treasurer of the Rotary Club, President of Cheramie Cemetery and a member of Masonic Lodge #427.
