Howard J. Dufrene, 74, a native and resident of Gheens passed away on Monday June 24, 2013.
Visitation will be held at St Anthony Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial in St. Hilary of Poitiers Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosita B. Dufrene; sons, Scott Dufrene, Bryan (Rachel) Dufrene, Danny (Rachel) Dufrene, John (Desiree) Dufrene; daughter, Staci Dufrene; brothers, Herman Dufrene, Harold Dufrene, Jesse Dufrene, Jr.; sisters, Marion D. Walton, Janet D. Chiasson; 3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse, Sr. and Eva Dufrene; brother, Edmond Dufrene; sister, Mona Fonseca.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
