Herman "Huy" Chiasson

Herman "Huy" Chiasson, 88, a native of Larose and resident of Lockport passed away on Sunday August 11, 2013.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel in Mathews on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Barrios Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Ted Chiasson, Michael (Joyce) Chiasson; daughter, Debra Chiasson Cheramie (Carl White, Jr.); sisters, Francis (McCain) Bourg, Arnic (Roland) Sevin; grandchildren, Billy Chiasson, Alan Cheramie, Jr., LeeAnn Cheramie, Joni (Jimmy) C. Garris.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Lula Mae Rodrigue Chiasson; parents, Serville and Augustine Dufrene Chiasson; son, Steven Chiasson, brother, Arnold (Juliet) Chiasson; sisters, Essie (Edmond) Robichaux, Eula (Ellis) Cheramie, Irene (Vories) Pierce, Anna Mae (Nolan, Sr.) Vinet; grandchildren, Michelle Chiasson, Angela Danielle Stevens.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
