Herbert "Buck" Rome, 60, a native and resident of Des Allemands died on Thursday July 5, 2012.
Visitation will be held at First Assembly of God in Des Allemands on Saturday from 9am until funeral time. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11am with burial in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Carol S. Rome; son, Clayton Rome and wife Christina; step-sons, P-Nut Truxillo and wife Robin, Terry Truxillo; step-daughters, Rosemary Truxillo, Rebecca Truxillo and companion Tom Candies; brothers, Norman Rome and wife Sylvia, Clifford Rome and wife Laura; sisters, Mavis Jones and husband Terry, Nancy Dowouis and husband Ronnie; 12 neices and nephews; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chefter and Myrtle Rome; sister, Beatrice Roulet and husband Irvin; grandson, Donny Legendre.
