Herbert Joseph "Badoo" Danos, a native of Raceland and resident of St. Charles Community passed away on September 29, 2017. He was 88 years old.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux from 9am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. The burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Ann Brou Danos; his sons Jerome Danos (Betty), Joe Danos (Sheri) and John Danos; daughters Jane Danos Carithers (Russell), Jackie Danos Rhodes (Les), and Joy Danos Logan (Sean). He is also survived by his sister Darlene Danos Trahan, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Inez Danos, his brother Earl Danos and his sister Noella Danos Folse.
In his earlier years, Herbert served in the military in the US Navy and as a Louisiana State Trooper. He was an educator and coach in Lafourche Parish schools until he retired.
Herbert loved gardening, fishing, and hunting, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren will always remember "Paw" for the stories he told. He will be dearly missed.
